About Alan Himelhoch

A Member and WHLT&H’s Office Manager, Mr. Himelhoch has spent 34 years advising, strategizing, and representing clients on cases headed for court. He is an experienced business litigator with a special focus on Construction Law and Litigation and also in Alternative Dispute Resolution proceedings where he represents clients or serves as a Mediator, Arbitrator, Case Evaluator or Private Judge.

From the start of his career, Mr. Himelhoch has focused on Construction Law and Litigation. He represents Owners, General Contractors, Subcontractors, Suppliers, Banks and Sureties on commercial, industrial and residential projects throughout the State of Michigan. He has served as Owner’s Representative on construction projects, has written articles and columns, and even wrote a book he uses to train clients on the layman’s way to perfect construction lien and bond claims.

Mr. Himelhoch is a member of the American, Michigan and Genesee County Bar Associations, has served on various bar association committees, and helped draft Genesee County’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Plan. He is a qualified Mediator in the State of Michigan, is on the approved list of Mediators in many counties, and is known for successfully mediating the most complex, multiparty cases and judges’ “Dogs of the Docket”.

For two decades, Mr. Himelhoch has been Chairperson of the Genesee County Metropolitan Planning Commission. He has served on innumerable boards of directors, been an officer of many community and non-profit organizations, coached youth soccer, and developed a special classroom training process to prepare students for interviews. He enjoys presenting to groups and regularly speaks and moderates at community and professional events.

Mr. Himelhoch lives in Grand Blanc, and has two daughters. His wife is the retired owner of a chiropractic health and nutrition practice.
