About Liz Young

Liz has a solid foundation in the legal field having started her career in the criminal justice profession more than a decade ago by first working in law enforcement.

Her prior experience gives her valuable insight as a lawyer navigating the legal process for her clients. Liz is experienced in a broad spectrum of cases in state and municipal courts. She was awarded the Top Women Attorneys by B-Metro Magazine in 2018, Top Attorneys by B-Metro Magazine in 2019, Top Attorneys by Birmingham Magazine in 2019, and Top 10 Under 40 by the National Academy of Criminal Defense Attorneys in 2015. Liz is active in both the Birmingham Bar Association and the Alabama Bar Association and serves on a number of committees in those organizations.

Liz currently represents the largest police and fire unions in the state of Alabama and is known as a zealous advocate for first responders.
