About Steven Loewy
Steve Loewy is not just about being a lawyer, his life experiences and interests have helped him to be a creative and careful writer and thinker. Foremost, he is the proud father of three children and grandfather of five grandchildren.
He has been active in several charities, among them the National Children’s Center in Washington, D.C., where he served on the Board of Directors and as Vice Chairman; and the Individual Advocacy Group, which delivers services to adults with disabilities, where he currently serves as the attorney-member of the Human Rights Committee. Steve has published more than 2,000 reviews, articles, and liner notes about jazz in a wide variety of publications, focusing his writing on the international creative improvisation of musicians from the United States, Japan, Italy, Germany, England, Holland, and other countries.
He delivered the invocation for the installation of a former U.S. Attorney General. In addition, he is an avid reader of literature, history, and philosophy. In his spare time, he lives an active lifestyle, enjoying travel, hiking, and various activities.
