About Pam Peynado

Attorney Pamela Peynado is a Partner at Lee & Peynado Immigration Law Group. At the age of 29, Pamela became the youngest and only female partner in the history of the firm. Pamela handles a variety of immigration issues with a focus on deportation, removal and family based immigration cases. Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Pamela migrated to New York City and later moved to Georgia. Her life experience as an immigrant and her passion to help others made working in the field of immigration law the perfect fit.

Pamela attended Georgia State University (GSU), where she was named GSU’s Faculty Scholar for academic achievement. In 2006, while a student at GSU, she began working as a receptionist for attorney George E. Lee. It was under his supervision that she developed a passion for immigration law. Pamela went on to obtain a law degree from Georgia State University College of Law. During her matriculation, she was elected to serve as the President of the Hispanic Student Bar Association and selected to be a member of the school’s Student Trial Lawyer Association. During her participation, she represented her law school in three national mock trial competitions, where she demonstrated exceptional advocacy skills that have aided her in becoming an effective immigration attorney.

Pamela has over seventeen years of experience in the field of Immigration and Nationality law. She has successfully represented countless of individuals in their immigration matters and aggressively defended immigrants in deportation and removal proceedings all over the United States. Pamela is regularly invited to speak at panels and conferences on immigration related topics. She is not only a strong advocate for justice, but she is passionate about helping her community. This is evident from the array of community organizations and service projects she is actively involved in. Currently, she serves as the co-chair of the Multi-Bar Leadership Council. She also served as the Secretary of the Georgia Hispanic Bar Association. Pamela serves as the chair of Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys’ Inter-Bar Relations committee. She is a member of the advocacy committee of the Latin American Association and a member of the Executive Office of Immigration Review of the American Immigration Lawyer Association. In addition to her participation in these organizations, she also serves as a the captain of the team “Committed to Cure” and has raised thousands of dollars to increase free testing and HIV treatment in the Metro Atlanta area as well as thousands of dollars for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer walk. As a true visionary, Pamela is the co-founder of Project CPF (Collaborative Powers of Faith), a §501 (c)(3) organization centered on assisting the less fortunate. Recently, the organization’s project, “Warm hearts, Warm Winter,” raised thousands of dollars and provided numerous coats for homeless men, women and children in the Atlanta area. Pamela’s favorite pastime is serving as an assistant mock trial coach for various high schools.

Pamela has been recognized for her leadership, community service and achievement in the field. Most recently, Pamela was selected as a 2017 Rising Star for the State of Georgia by the Super Lawyer.
