About Ralph Cantafio
Ralph has over 30 years of legal experience, having served as lead counsel in over 100 jury trials. His primary focus is Oil and Gas Law, as well as a wide range of commercial transactions and litigations. Mr. Cantafio is licensed to practice law in the state courts of Alaska, Colorado, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, North Dakota, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming, in addition to a number of U.S. District Courts, the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. Court of Claims, the 3rd and 10th Circuit Courts of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
In addition to being a partner at Cantafio & Song PLLC, which has offices throughout Colorado, Ralph is also a lecturer (adjunct professor) at the University of Colorado, Denver, teaching in the Global Energy Management Program. He educates graduate students in Environmental, Regulatory, Legal, and Political Environment in the Energy Industry, as well as Land Use and Energy Contracts.
Ralph has lectured foreign professionals, mainly from Nigeria and China, on international oil and gas law, as well as international contracts and drafting of the same.
Ralph’s education includes a Juris Doctorate from the University of Colorado School of Law, a Master of Science in Mineral Economics from the prestigious Colorado School of Mines, and a Master of Science in Global Energy Management from the University of Colorado-Denver, where he currently teaches.
