About Michael Fives

For more than 30 years, Michael F. Fives has headed his own general practice firm, focusing his law practice on the needs of individuals and small business in the areas of personal injury and insurance claims, real estate law, commercial disputes, liquor licensing, and criminal/DUI defense.

With his extensive civil and criminal trial experience, Mike has successfully represented both individual and business clients against insurance companies and municipalities in both state and federal courts, with most of his cases being successfully settled before going to trial. He is admitted to practice before all state courts in Pennsylvania, U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, Northern District of Ohio, Northern District of West Virginia, and the U. S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He is a member in good standing of a number of professional associations including the American Trial Lawyers Association and serves as Solicitor for the North Allegheny Chapter of the Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Education.

In addition to his trial experience, Mike is uniquely qualified in the areas of real estate transactions, land use planning and zoning, and has advised and represented homeowners as well as real estate developers and builders in both commercial and residential real estate matters. As an approved attorney with PA title companies, Mike is able to manage the legal aspects of a real estate transaction from beginning to end, at significant savings to his clients. “Buying or selling a home is often one of the most important transactions in a person’s life.
