About Ursula Woods

Ursula J. Woods is the attorney and President of Bankruptcy Law Firm, PLLC, and Preferred Title & Escrow, LLC. Both are Memphis-based law firms serving Tennessee and Mississippi. They are focused on the areas of bankruptcy and real estate law. Attorney Woods has received the honor of being voted the BEST ATTORNEY two years in a row. She has also been recognized by Stewart Title Guaranty Company and NATIC as one of the top producers in the country. Her accomplishments have been highlighted in Mahogany Magazine, iHeart Media, Memphis Open House, and Memphis Minority Business Magazine and the recipient of The Women of Excellence Award. She was selected by her peers for inclusion in the 2014 through 2018 Bankruptcy Court Liaison Committee for the Western Division of the Judicial District. Ursula is a monthly guest on The Bev Johnson Radio show airing locally in Memphis and syndicated nationally on iHeart Radio. She is frequently featured as a legal analyst on the investigative crime show, Fatal Attraction.

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Attorney Woods earned her Bachelor’s Degree in 1994 from Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia and in 1998, she earned her Juris Doctorate Degree from Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas. Upon graduation, she moved to Memphis, Tennessee and today she has two wonderful sons, Jeffrey and Preston.
