About Amy Chapman

I found a passion for criminal defense early on in law school and never looked back. I love the challenge that criminal defense brings to each and every case, but mostly I like using my skills and experience to help people through tough times. I have exclusively practiced criminal defense in Sonoma County since 2000. I spent my first 12 years of practice in the Sonoma County public defender’s office which has a very high caseload. I handled thousands of cases in misdemeanor and felony assignments.

I have had remarkable success both in front of juries and at the negotiating table. I am well liked and respected by judges and prosecutors due to my professionalism and preparation. My clients love that I am approachable, sincere, and have the unique ability to convey their stories with compassion and integrity to judges and juries to get the best possible result every time.
