About Patrick Riggs

Patrick L. Riggs is a criminal defense trial lawyer with 23 years of experience. He is a member of good standing with the State Bar of California. Mr. Riggs was born in Oakland California. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from San Francisco State University in 1979, and earned his law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law, in 1990.

He first received his training in the San Diego County Public Defender’s Office, one of the most progressive criminal defense public entities in the country. He has represented thousands of clients at all levels of criminal defense practice. Some of his victories include not guilty verdicts in the defense of charges such as first degree murder, and child molestation. He also obtained a rare jury verdict of Not guilty by Reason of Insanity in a high-profile work place shooting trial.
