Kelly Reiter, Family Law Attorney
Kelly Reiter has been a family law attorney in Marin County since 1999, dedicating her professional career to the protection and advocacy of children, as well as helping families navigate the complex legal system. She has provided child-focused mediation and legal representation to over 500 children and 200 families in situations of divorce, co-parenting, child custody, support, guardianships, dependency and other family law issues. She is passionate about protecting the rights of children and families by providing experienced and compassionate legal guidance in times of emotional crisis.
Supporting the needs of children
Kelly’s goal with every family she serves is to reduce the trauma and anxiety of legal action, while focusing on the best interest of the child or children involved. She believes that the right legal representation can positively change the life of a child forever.
Kelly received her J.D., Law degree from Golden Gate University, School of Law. After representing children and families for 10 years at the Family & Children’s Law Center in Marin, she opened her own law offices in 2010.
As a mediator specializing in family law issues, Attorney Kelly Reiter can help families negotiate and collaborate through even the most difficult of disputes. She is also a NACC Certified Child Welfare Law Specialist (CWLS) accredited by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization, which enables her to represent children or their parents in child protection proceedings, including temporary custody, guardianship, and adoption.
Kelly is a member of the San Francisco Bar Association, Marin County Bar Association, Marin County Women’s Lawyers Association, National Association of Children’s Counsel, Family & Children’s Law Center and AVVO.
