About Kevin Urick

I am Kevin Urick, an attorney with a general civil practice located in Elkton, Maryland. I provide legal services to residents of Cecil, Harford, and Kent Counties, catering to their various civil law needs. My clients depend on me to help them resolve important issues such as child custody and support, business formation, and will drafting.

With over twenty years of experience, I have spent a significant amount of time in the courtroom handling hundreds of cases as a litigator. For thirteen years, I served as a prosecutor in Baltimore City, managing serious felony and homicide prosecutions. Subsequently, I worked for three years in private practice in Baltimore City, litigating lead paint tort cases and protecting children from the harmful effects of this toxic substance. Since 2005, I have operated a small, private practice in Cecil County, regularly appearing in district and circuit courts on behalf of my clients.

My focus is on the civil legal needs of my clients. As one of the few lawyers in Cecil County accepting litigation cases, I appear in Maryland District Court or Maryland Circuit Court, advocating zealously and dedicatedly for my clients. My experience as a litigator has provided me with an in-depth understanding of the workings of these courts, enabling me to work constructively with them to achieve favorable outcomes for my clients.

Outside of my legal practice, I am an active volunteer in the community. For more than a decade, I have been involved with various Irish and other fraternal organizations, helping them raise funds for charity and organizing cultural events. Additionally, I serve on the board of directors for Upper Bay Counseling and Support Services, Inc., a local non-profit that offers services to the residents of Cecil County. I also collaborate with various professional organizations to reduce interpersonal violence among family members.
