About Mishael Pine
Mishael M. Pine, Esq. was raised in Travelers Rest, South Carolina. She first became interested in law as a child after watching her favorite show Perry Mason. She went to college at Washington Adventist University (former Columbia Union College) in Takoma Park, Maryland and majored in nursing. She graduated with a BS in Nursing in December 1997 and went on to practice as a ICU nurse for a few years before leaving the profession to enter law school. In 2003, she graduated from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, located in Sacramento, California. Before entering McGeorge, she was a summer legal intern for the former Presiding Justice Leah Ward Sears in the Supreme Court of Georgia in 2001. During her time at McGeorge, she was a student intern for Pacific Justice Institute and a Legal Research Assistant for the Sacramento County Public Defender’s Office – Juvenile Hall and Misdemeanor Divisions. She was involved with the Black Law Student Association (BLSA) and was acting secretary during the 2002-2003 school year.
She is currently licensed to practice law in New York State Courts, Federal Courts – Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, New Jersey State Courts, and the United States Supreme Court. The areas of law that she currently handles include Landlord-Tenant, Real Property, Consumer Debt, Criminal, and Family Law. She obtained valuable experience working with the New York City Access to Justice Program, which is a program geared to assisting the indigent community in obtaining proper legal representation. She is also a Court Appointed Guardian Ad Litem, who advocates on behalf of the elderly and mentally handicapped tenants who are unable to properly assert their rights in housing court. In addition to her own practice, Ms. Pine serves as of counsel to several firms in the New York Metropolitan Community.
Ms. Pine has a deep passion for community outreach, particularly homeless outreach. She started volunteering in 1994 while in college with the Loaves & Fishes On-Campus Ministry. Through the ministry at that time, many college youth participated in giving food to families living in public housing neighborhoods. The youth also served as sources of encouragement and support for other young people in the neighborhood. During law school, as part of BLSA, she and other members organized a clothing drive which benefited several non-profit organizations in Sacramento County and brought awareness to the law school’s presence in the community. Since graduating from college, she has worked with several church homeless outreach ministries in Maryland, South Carolina, California, New Jersey, and New York. She currently works with Rescue Rachel, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless youth and deterring human trafficking.
Ms. Pine’s motto is Honesty in Law. Her objective is to provide her clients with the best representation within the full bounds of the law. She desires for her clients to be made whole; however, she realizes that fraud and deceit are never options.
