About Lorraine Gauli Rufo

After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Seton Hall University school of law, Ms. Gauli-Rufo was an associate for several years at LeBoeuf Lamb Greene and MacRae in their north New Jersey office where she was mentored by the Honorable Frederick B. Lacey, a former federal judge of the district of New Jersey. With the encouragement of Judge Lacey, Ms. Gauli-Rufo left the firm to hone her federal litigation and trial skills at the New Jersey federal defender’s office. As an assistant federal public defender, Ms. Gauli-Rufo gained invaluable experience in defending federal matters including successfully trying many cases, obtaining many below Guideline sentences, and accomplishing many victories in federal appellate courts, for her nearly 20-year tenure. In 2013, Ms. guali-rufo took her extensive experience and her passion of defending the accused and opened a boutique law firm focusing on the most serious and complex federal crimes, where she can continue to pursue justice for those accused of federal crimes.
