About David Schrock

Dave is a shareholder attorney of Smith, Mills & Schrock and is currently serving as Second Vice President on the firm’s Board of Directors. Dave focuses his practice on the defense of government and municipal entities, workers’ compensation clients, and nursing home and assisted living facilities. He has also represented numerous insurance carriers for more than 20 years in negligence, automobile accident and wrongful death claims.  Dave assists and advises numerous cities, counties and police agencies across the state of Iowa, in both state and federal courts, on civil rights, police and municipal law and employment law matters.  He frequently presents on topics such as police and municipal liability, workers’ compensation and employment law topics. Dave chairs the firm’s litigation, municipal law and nursing home law practice groups. He also chairs the firm’s annual government and municipal law seminar.

Dave is an active member of DRI (Governmental Liability and Health Care Law committees), the Iowa Defense Counsel Association and Iowa Municipal Attorneys Association, as well as the Iowa State and Linn County Bar Associations
