About Christopher Robinson

Chris Robinson, a member of the Oregon State Bar since 1977, has successfully represented clients in all types of complex property tax situations. Chris is an accomplished litigator, representing clients before of the Oregon Tax court and the Oregon Supreme court.

An active speaker and published author of legal articles, Chris’s update on ad valorem taxation for the 2003 Continuing Legal Education Cumulative Supplement was published by the Oregon State Bar. He also lectures on property tax assessment issues.

Chris has been active in property tax legislation, helping to pass laws to protect taxpayer rights and provide clarity on complex property tax valuation issues. He was a member of the legislative work group that wrote the special assessment legislation for affordable housing enacted by the 2001 Oregon Legislature. He also helped write legislation (HB 2659) in 2005 that clarified the eligibility period for a property tax refund in Oregon.

Chris holds a doctorate of jurisprudence from Lewis & Clark Law School. He is a member of the Corporate Counsel, Real Estate, Land Use, and Taxation sections of the Oregon State Bar, as well as Associated Oregon Industries, the Institute of Property Taxation, NAIOP, BOMA, IREM, and the Appraisal Institute.
