About Jeffrey Linden

Jeff has maintained a successful law practice since 1993 when he earned his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco, California. Jeff received his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Political Science from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Since the beginning, Jeff has received honors and respect in his work and practice while linking his practice with community service. He has and continues to serve in many elected, appointed, and volunteer professional and civic positions. In law school, Jeff served on the Student Government and liaison to the faculty and the Board of Governors of the Law School. He earned the rare honor of being appointed both to the Editorial Board of the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly law journal, and the Moot Court Board after winning the David Snodgrass Award for Outstanding Appellate Advocacy. Jeff served as a judicial extern clerk to the Honorable Robert Schnacke of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California and taught courses to San Francisco Junior and High School students on the law and legal issues relevant to the lives of young people in the Street Law Program.

Jeff is recognized by clients, judges, and colleagues to be knowledgeable, creative, ethical, and aggressive in the representation of his clients in any court proceeding or advisory matter. In recognition of the respect he holds in the legal community, the Michigan Supreme Court has regularly appointed him to sit as a panel member for hearings of the Michigan Attorney Discipline Board in the tri-county area of Metro-Detroit, and his colleagues have elected him to serve as a member of the State Bar Representative Assembly for the Sixth Circuit region and he is active in the Business Law, Probate, Litigation, Computer Law, Criminal Law, and Health Care Law Sections of the State Bar.

Civically, Jeff has served as Commissioner on the Farmington Hills Commission on Parks and Recreation, and is also a past member of the Board of Trustees for Congregation Shaarey Zedek, and the Founding Chairman of the Religious School Task Force (POD), the Advisory Council on Education and Youth, is a member of the Security Task Force.

Jeff is admitted to practice law in Michigan, California, and Colorado. He has also earned admission to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Courts of Appeal for the Ninth and Sixth Circuits and, the federal trial courts in the Northern and Central Districts of California, as well as the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, and the Eastern District of Kentucky.

Jeff has practiced in large, medium, small, and solo practice environments beginning in San Francisco, California, quickly establishing himself as an aggressive and knowledgeable commercial attorney successfully representing institutional clients in a broad range of commercial matters. Jeff returned to Michigan in 1998, to continue his practice in the Metro-Detroit area working in small and medium-sized law firms that enable him to provide his clients with “Big Firm” skills and “Small Firm” value and efficiency.

Jeff represents many high-profile and individual and business clients in a variety of matters including Automotive Manufacturing Disputes, Sales Commissions, Non-Competition, high value insurance disputes arising from the death of thoroughbred racehorses, accidental death insurance denials, corporate director/shareholder disputes, real estate, landlord-tenant matters, corporate matters, estate planning, elder law, nursing home compliance and other professional administrative law matters, probate and trust administration, litigation and more.
