About Jeffrey Adelman

Mr. Adelman is “Of Counsel” to the firm. During the past 25 years his practice has focused primarily on
real estate law. He has worked on hundreds of real estate transactions — including all types of
commercial, retail, and industrial leases and purchase agreements – as well as serving as In-House
Counsel for both La Mancha Development and Dynamic Development. As In-House Counsel, Mr.
Adelman has overseen all aspects of the development of over thirty retail centers, from those as small
as a single tenant standalone 2,500 square foot building to a grocery store anchored shopping center
of over 100,000 square feet.
Mr. Adelman’s transactional and general business practice includes a wide range of lease transactions
(on behalf of both landlords and tenants), purchase and sale agreements, title review, reciprocal
easement agreements and CCRs, rooftop and billboard leases and license agreements. He has
extensive experience in both office leasing and retail leasing, having completed lease transactions with
the following representative companies: CVS, Wells Fargo, JPMorgan Chase Bank, Dollar General, 7-
Eleven, Inc., Vallarta Markets, Starbucks, and Little Caesars. Likewise, Mr. Adelman has served as
primary outside counsel for the South Bay chapter of Goodwill, having successfully represented Goodwill
in the leasing of over 10 retail locations in the South Bay, each of approximately 10,000 square feet or
more.
Mr. Adelman has advised real estate brokers for many years. He has served as In House Counsel for
Centers Business Management for the past 10 years, as well as having represented outside brokerage
companies such as Coldwell Banker Commercial WESTMAC. In that regard, Mr. Adelman negotiates
commercial real estate listing agreements and related brokerage documentation. Mr. Adelman’s
litigation practice includes unlawful detainer, breach of lease, and general commercial landlord tenant
litigation, mechanics’ lien and contractor disputes, foreclosures, receiverships, easements, as well as
the enforcement of creditor rights, including claims in the Bankruptcy Court.
