He is licensed by the Supreme Court of the State of New York and the United States District Court Northern District of Illinois. His legal education instigated in Istanbul, Turkey at the University Of Istanbul School Of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate Degree in 1999. Attorney Serbest later enhanced his legal education with a Master of Laws degree (L.LM) from Northwestern University, one of the most prestigious law schools in the United States, in 2005.
