About Kenneth Bartlett

Kenneth G. Bartlett has been fighting cases of seriously injured clients since 1982. His legal career began in 1981 after graduating from Quinnipiac Law School when he started as a law clerk in the Connecticut Supreme Court Building in Hartford.

After clerking and before starting his own firm, Attorney Bartlett spent five years completing extensive trial work. He was a partner at Solomon & Stanton in Meriden, CT (1982-1984) and later worked as a civil trial litigator for the Alan E. Silver, P.C. law firm in New Haven. In 1987, Attorney Bartlett purchased Hyatt Legal Services and managed their 5 location throughout Connecticut. Hyatt Legal Services merged with Bartlett Law Office, P.C., to become the firm as we know it today. Attorney Bartlett is proud to have been the first attorney in Connecticut to prevail in an injury verdict for a victim of sexual assault where it was alleged that there was inadequate security. He has also litigated Benedictine, DPT vaccine, Permpro®, and silicone implant cases over the past 35 years.

Attorney Bartlett was awarded board-certified status as a civil trial specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA) in 1984 and was recertified in 1989, 1994, and 2003. To date, Attorney Bartlett has tried more than 100 personal injury cases to verdict. Additionally, he has written extensively and lectured on selected legal topics over the past 35 years. He is also a past planning co-chairperson and speaker for the Connecticut Bar Association (CBA) on medical malpractice.

His article on Screening Medical Malpractice Cases was published in Trial Magazine, a magazine with national readership. As a long-standing member of NBTA, Attorney Bartlett maintains a $1 million professional liability policy to ensure the protection of his clients. Mr. Bartlett has been voted by his legal peers as a Connecticut “Super Lawyer” for the past five consecutive years.

In January 2011, Chief Justice Chase T. Rogers appointed Mr. Bartlett both as an attorney trial referee and a fact finder/arbitrator in the Judicial District of New Haven. Mr. Bartlett was recertified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA) in 2017 in civil trial practice. He is also dual-boarded (2017) in civil pretrial practice law.
