About David Bae

David M. Bae is a Shareholder in the Boston office of Boyle | Shaughnessy Law and leads the firm’s contingency fee practice group. In addition to leading the firm’s contingency fee practice group, Dave also serves as defense counsel to his clients in a variety of cases. Dave’s primary focus is litigation and related appeals. As part of his appellate practice, Dave has presented oral arguments before the Massachusetts Appeals Court as well as the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.

Dave also provides legal services to law enforcement personnel on a wide variety of civil and criminal matters.

Dave is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the State of New Hampshire.

In addition to his work at Boyle | Shaughnessy Law, Dave works as an Adjunct Professor teaching the Trial Practice class at New England Law | Boston. Prior to teaching Trial Practice, Dave taught Legal Research and Writing at New England Law | Boston.

Before joining Boyle | Shaughnessy Law, Dave worked as an Assistant District Attorney in both the Trial and Appellate Court Divisions of the Suffolk County office. While working in the Appellate Court Division, he argued on behalf of the Commonwealth before the Massachusetts Appeals Court. As an Assistant District Attorney in the Trial Court Division, Dave tried numerous cases to verdict as the lead prosecutor.

Dave graduated magna cum laude from New England Law | Boston and was a Case and Note Editor for the New England Law Review.
