About Colin Bresee

From an early age, other lawyers recognized the talent of M. Colin Bresee. In law school, he joined the prestigious Law Review. As a senior, he was named “Top Gun,” showing how much his colleagues respected him as a future trial lawyer.

When he graduated from law school, he went to work as a prosecutor. First in Denver, then in Mesa County, San Miguel County, and a judicial district that included Delta, Montrose, Ouray, and Gunnison counties. Mr. Bresee was also an in-demand Special Prosecutor for many districts around the state.

However, by 1997, Mr. Bresee realized he was working on the wrong side of the courtroom. He saw how many people were being treated unfairly by what was supposed to be an impartial system. He became a criminal defense lawyer to tip the scales of justice and ensure each and every accused got fair treatment under the law. Since then, he has helped thousands of people charged with DUI, sex offenses, internet crimes, and more find justice. He protected their rights, helped them avoid jail, and/or reduced their jail time so they could get back to their normal lives.
