About Anthony Bonadies
Hamden resident Anthony Bonadies recently announced that he has established a new law firm, the Bonadies Law Firm LLC located in the Whitneyville Center of Hamden. Bonadies, 46, had been practicing at Sette and Bonadies P.C. for over twenty years, where he has represented Hamden and New Haven County residents in personal injury and worker’s compensation matters. He also represents local governmental bodies. Of note, Bonadies represented the Hamden Legislative Council in special litigation, the Hamden Water Pollution Control Authority, and presently serves as an Impartial Hearing Officer for The Hamden Board of Education.
Bonadies, a lifelong resident of Hamden, has resolved hundreds of cases by settlement or trial, and is excited to continue representing the residents of the Hamden/New Haven county area at his new office. “I’ve always been committed to helping people, and there’s no better community in the state to serve than this one. It’s diverse, enriching, and the food’s good too!” Bonadies has sat as faculty and lecturer at numerous legal seminars on trial law for the Connecticut Bar Association, the Connnecicut Trial Lawyers Association, and the New Haven and Milford Bar Associations. He presently sits on the Board of Governors for the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. He also volunteers his time as a mentor for the Connecticut Bar Grievance Committee and as a court arbitrator for civil matters filed in New Haven.
Bonadies not only receives much reward in his professional life, but his work outside of law also gives him great satisfaction. He coached the Hamden Mock Trial Team to State Championships, taught Negligence Law in Hamden’s Adult Education Programs, was voted a Distinguished Volunteer by the Connecticut Bar Association, and was also selected Big Brother of the Year by the Big Brother/Big Sister Program. Last year Bonadies was presented with the 2008 Distinguished Alumni Award by the Hamden Education Foundation for his work and accomplishments both in and out of legal profession. He is presently involved in coaching youth basketball and lacrosse.
“I’m really looking forward to this new chapter in my life, and plan to hit the ground running. Representing Hamdenites and people in the surrounding communities has given me great satisfaction for the past twenty two years, and I still have enormous passion for what I do.”
